How to Light Up Your Home for Joy

Love the ski season or is this time of year is because of stress? One way to reduce holiday stress, using fewer decorations, decreases your "too long" list.

However, you still want to display Christmas candles because these decorations bring smiles to you and your loved ones. When the days get shorter and cooler and the sun sets earlier people naturally crave the warmth and comfort> Light, especially natural sources such as a bonfire or the flame of a candle of Christmas.

Christmas Candle Tips

Luminaires

Save your energy and your money. You do not need your entire sidewalk with the line of lighting equipment. Achieve a similar effect with four large candles in clear glass containers near your front door. These glowing candles will welcome your guests without all the work of gathering bags, buying votive candles that just burn quickly and create allthan sand.

Window Candles

Many cultural holiday traditions include placing a lighted candle for windows visible from the outside. Pamper yourself. A candle in a dark window at night. Instead of peering into a dark void, it will focus on the cheerful fire and feel comforted and exalted.

Give

Create a nightly quiet ritual for yourself in a quiet place away from distractions and the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Place candles aroundbath and relax, or a favorite reading chair and instead of reading sit alone and think about the clarity of a single candle. Listening to quiet music or simply enjoy the peace and tranquility. Think about the joys of your life and gratitude. This period of calm is your most precious gift to yourself.

Candlelight Carol-Sing

Recycle last year's cards by cutting each into a disk or rounding the edges, make a hole in the center, and a slideaverage cone candle hole. Gather your friends and family around the piano or hearth and sing familiar Christmas carols as each person has their own candlelight. Pausing to reflect on the fact that each individual brings their own special light to the world and recognize the common spiritual light to each of us.

Candle Night-Night

When it's time to settle the kids to bed on Christmas Eve, calm, relaxing with a ritual candlelight. Mydaughter walk the kids to bed, all carefully lit a candle through a dark hallway, singing "Silent Night".
